Increase in number of RTTP professionals in Ireland
According to Sean Flanigan, chair of the Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals, the number of individuals applying for Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) status continues to grow. He reports that the Recognition Committee has awarded RTTP status to individuals from 26 different countries so far this year. There are now eleven technology transfer professionals in Ireland, eight of whom were awarded RTTP status in the most recent round. Over 400 attendees from 11 countries attended the recent “Expanding Horizons” PraxisUnico conference in Dublin and sponsored by Knowledge Transfer Ireland. The event represented the largest gathering of RTTPs from Britain and Ireland.
The conference provided a great opportunity to network with similar technology transfer practitioners and for delegates to share best practice and discuss hot topics within technology transfer.
