Maynooth University recognises commercialisation of research

Shirley ODea MU Commercialisation Award

Dr Shirley O'Dea was today (21 April 2015) presented with the Annual Commercialisation Award from Maynooth University. Shirley has been very active in the commercialisation space over the last number of years and is currently a Director and Chief Scientific Officer of Profector, a spin-out company from Maynooth University. Shirley is also a senior lecturer in the Biology Department. 

The Annual Commercialisation Award recognises excellence in the commercialisation of research at Maynooth University. Consideration for the award is given to activities such as invention disclosures recorded, licence deals completed, patents filed, spin-out creation and developing new links with industry as key factors in bringing research to the market place.
