International honour for head of Ireland’s knowledge transfer office

The head of Ireland’s knowledge transfer office has been appointed chair of a prestigious global organisation at a meeting in Phoenix, Arizona in the USA today (21.02.18).

“AUTM is the premier technology and knowledge transfer association and I am privileged to taking on the role as Chair. AUTM has a fantastic reputation and track record representing the research commercialisation sector and supporting those who work within in. I look forward to working with the Board to continue to develop the breadth and reach of the association.”  

Welcoming Dr. Campbell’s appointment, Stephen Susalka, CEO of AUTM, said: “Alison has a wealth of experience in technology transfer, which is the cornerstone of our great Association. Her strategic outlook, coupled with her international experience, provide an exceptional perspective as the profession evolves globally.”

About Dr. Alison Campbell OBE RTTP

Dr Campbell is Director of KTI, which she helped establish in 2013. She has a track record in working at the interface of industry and research, with previous roles including CEO at the UK Medical Research Council Technology Ltd and at King’s College London where she led technology transfer and research support. She is a founder and immediate past-Chair of the Global Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP).  She was awarded an OBE in 2010 in recognition of her contribution to knowledge transfer. 

She will chair the AUTM Board of Directors for a term of 12 months.
